Telecommunications Company EE has partnered up with ex-England rugby player, pundit and presenter, Ugo Monye, to launch its first Experience store in the South West in Bristol’s Capot Circus today (May 2).

The store will guide shoppers through the latest in connected tech, following data gathered by EE about Bristolians’ teach woes and joys.

The study revealed that two in four Bristolians shared that they could use in-store support to better understand key features of their connected devices and how to get the most out of they technology, and 27% didn’t invest in new technology because they didn’t feel like they have the expertise to choose the right product.

Despite 52% admitting that they would feel more confident about choosing the right technology products after speaking with a specialist in store, only 5% of Bristol residents usually get help from retail staff.

The Bristol store, which is one of 10 new Experience and Experience Local stores opening this year around the UK, hopes to tackle this issue. The stores will form part of a £6m investment from EE into the British high street.
