Bristol road closures: five for motorists to avoid this week

Bristol's motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And two of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that five closures are due to start this week:

• M32, from 10pm January 9 to 6am January 11, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M32 southbound, junction 1 to 3 carriageway closure for drainage works, diversion via A4174, A38, B4051, re-join M32.

• M32, from 10pm January 11 to 6am January 13, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M32 northbound, junction 3 to 2 carriageway closure for drainage works, diversion via B4051, A38, A4174, join M32 at, junction 1.

• M32, from 8pm January 12 to 6am January 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M32 southbound, junction 1 to junction two - lane closure for barrier/fence safety repairs.

• M32, from 9pm January 16 to 6am February 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M32 Both Directions, junction 2 to junction 3 lane closures for barrier work.

• M49, from 10am to 2pm on January 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M49 northbound, M5, junction 18 to M4, junction 22 lane closure for sweeping.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
