More antique postcards of Bristol have emerged from a collection which is going up for auction this month.
Showing everything from bustling high streets to tram stops to a quiet St George park, these pictures provide an insight into the history of life in the city.
While working out the locations of the pictures was possible in all except one of these 12 pictures, the dates were unfortunately not provided.

1. Castle Street
A busy street scene from Castle Street - Bristol’s old main high street before the major bombing raid on 1940 devastated the area.
2. The Dutch House
The timbered house stood at the corner of High Street and Wine Street. It dated back to the 1670s, but was destroyed during bombing of Bristol in the Second World War.
3. Old Market Street
Look at this view today and you would be faced with the roundabout above Temple Way Underpass, with Old Market Street in the background. On the righthand side can be seen the Stag and Hounds, which is still in business today.
4. North Street
Like the Stag in Hounds, the Full Moon Hotel is still in operation today, as a backpacker’s hostel, on North Street. A tram goes past the hotel on its way to the city centre.
