The Health Lottery extends congratulations on the news that Bristol resident Doug Allan has been made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 2024 King's Birthday Honours List, in recognition of his contributions to broadcast media, marine conservation, and the promotion of environmental awareness.

This prestigious accolade highlights Doug's significant impact through his extensive work in wildlife and nature programming for the BBC and National Geographic.

Doug expressed his surprise and gratitude for the honour, saying: “I'm very lucky that I've had my chance to create environmental awareness across so many platforms."
