The campaign to reopen the Rhubarb Tavern in Barton Hill has been met with huge support and shows our love for pubs in Bristol.
But other city pubs have not been so lucky, with some demolished and others converted into housing, including the former Fulford House in Hartcliffe.
In Bristol, a number of pubs have also been converted into mini supermarkets, with their frontages serving as reminders of their past.

1. The Friendship, Axbridge Road, Knowle
The pub has been converted into a Tesco Express but the chip shop opposite is called 'Friendchips'.
2. The Chequers, Lodge Road, Kingswood
The pub closed permanently in 2011 and was converted to a Co-Op in 2018.
3. The Fellowship, Filton Avenue, Horfield
The former community pub was converted to a Tesco Express in 2012.
4. King George VI, Station Road, Filton
The W-shaped building just off the A4174 ring road is now a Brewers Decorator Centre.
