A Chinese restaurant and cocktail bar in Bristol city centre is offering free meals to hundreds of students.
Dao Chao, on Broad Quay, will let the first 100 students through its doors every weekday next week eat for free.

Owner Yen-ting Miu said: “We opened at the end of January and, knowing that Bristol has a big student community, we wanted to make them aware of the fact that we are here, and are affordable to students.
“We often hear about how students exist on very lower budgets so we thought a great way for us to introduce ourselves to the local student community was to offer 500 free meals.”

“What sets us apart is that we offer Chinese dining in a Western style, where you can have a starter and a main course, but also share a meal in a banquet-style of dining.
“We also have an extensive cocktail menu, offering a blend of classic favourites with some of our own original creations.”
Students simply need to turn up at the restaurant between April 22 and 26 and present a valid student ID to quality for the offer.
If more than 100 turn up on any of the days, those who don’t qualify for a free meal can still enjoy a half-price meal because the restaurant also has a 50%-off student offer running.
